A Brief Overview

At First Coast Renovations, we recently had the pleasure of transforming a kitchen tailored for homeowners who are passionate golfers and love to entertain. The challenge was to enhance the kitchen’s functionality and aesthetics while adhering to the existing footprint, as the floors had been recently redone. This project required thoughtful design, meticulous craftsmanship, and a touch of creativity.

The homeowners desired a kitchen that better suited their lifestyle, with features accommodating their height and entertainment needs. However, maintaining the existing footprint due to the new flooring posed a constraint in redesigning the space.

The Plan

Our approach involved several key steps:

one

Removing existing structures by taking out all countertops and the existing island to make way for new installations

two

Custom island installation, including constructing a 6-inch platform on which the island cabinets were set to accommodate the homeowners’ taller stature and ensure a comfortable working height

Wine bar addition, custom-built with waterfall edges and low-voltage lighting to create an inviting ambiance for entertaining

four

New Calacatta Madrid quartz countertops installed throughout the kitchen, along with lighting enhancements including a new island light fixture to improve both functionality and aesthetics

The Details That Make This a Sanctuary

What we found

With the plan in place, our team executed the rebuild meticulously: • Island Integration:The island was trimmed out to blend seamlessly with the existing kitchen design, maintaining the integrity of the space. • Wine Bar Construction: The custom wine bar was built with precision, featuring waterfall edges and integrated lighting to enhance its appeal. • Final Touches: The installation of the new island light fixture and the Calacatta Madrid quartz countertops brought the remodel to completion, resulting in a cohesive and functional kitchen space

The space now features: • Enhanced Functionality: The custom height island and additional wine bar cater perfectly to the homeowners’ lifestyle and entertainment needs. • Seamless Design: Despite the constraints of maintaining the existing footprint, the kitchen appears entirely new, with all elements harmoniously integrated. • Aesthetic Appeal: The combination of Pro Craft Essence Shaker Cemento cabinets and Calacatta Madrid quartz countertops provides a modern and elegant look
