A Brief Overview
At First Coast Renovations, we recently had the pleasure of transforming a kitchen tailored for homeowners who are passionate golfers and love to entertain. The challenge was to enhance the kitchen’s functionality and aesthetics while adhering to the existing footprint, as the floors had been recently redone. This project required thoughtful design, meticulous craftsmanship, and a touch of creativity.
the problem
The homeowners desired a kitchen that better suited their lifestyle, with features accommodating their height and entertainment needs. However, maintaining the existing footprint due to the new flooring posed a constraint in redesigning the space.

Our approach involved several key steps:
• Removing Existing Structures: We began by removing all countertops and the existing island to make way for new installations.
• Custom Island Installation: To accommodate the homeowners’ taller stature, we constructed a 6- inch platform on which the island cabinets were set. This adjustment ensured a comfortable working height.
• Wine Bar Addition: Understanding their love for entertaining, we custom-built a wine bar featuring waterfall edges and low-voltage lighting to create an inviting ambiance.
• New Countertops: We installed Calacatta Madrid quartz countertops throughout the kitchen, enhancing the space’s elegance and durability.
• Lighting Enhancements: A new island light fixture was installed to improve both functionality and aesthetics
what we found
With the plan in place, our team executed the rebuild meticulously:
• Island Integration:The island was trimmed out to blend seamlessly with the existing kitchen design, maintaining the integrity of the space.
• Wine Bar Construction: The custom wine bar was built with precision, featuring waterfall edges and integrated lighting to enhance its appeal.
• Final Touches: The installation of the new island light fixture and the Calacatta Madrid quartz countertops brought the remodel to completion, resulting in a cohesive and functional kitchen space

The completed kitchen remodel not only met but exceeded the homeowners’ expectations. The space now features:
